Long answer: I'm not a part of many communities, but I genuinely love this game. Sparking Zero scratches an itch the way a beat-up old softball league used to — show up, smack a ball around with people who care about the same dumb thing, go home happy.
Online gaming communities can be brutal. There's a lot of negativity floating around, a lot of "this game is dead," a lot of arguments that aren't really about the game at all. I wanted to spread a little positivity in a small corner of the internet that actually deserves it.
I strongly believe the community is the only thing that's going to keep this game alive.
Bandai is going to do what Bandai does — based on their track record they'll stretch the game as far as they can and then move on. That's their call to make and I want to be respectful about it. Ultimately it's their game.
But until then, the leagues, the tournaments, the streamers, the late-night ranked grinders, the people uploading clips at 2am because the read was too clean not to share — that's the part that actually matters. That's why this exists.
